The What of Salvation

We are fast approaching the sunset of the age of man’s history here upon this Earth.

But God still offers to you and me...

	“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”
	- Psalm 16:11

	“But as it is is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”
	- I Corinthians 2:9

	“How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them to drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light”
	- Psalm 36:7-9

	“The Lord Jesus Christ saith, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne”
	- Revelation 3:20-21a

	“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us”
	- Romans 8:18

	"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool"
	- Isaiah 1:18

In other words: the Lord Jesus Christ offers to you investment opportunities and retirement options which are literally, out of this world; and... they are for Eternity!

BUT…

All of Us as the descendants of Adam, are sinful from birth.

Therefore, we (you, me, everyone) cannot live in the very presence of a sinless and righteous God. For if God, were to allow us rebellious people to enter into His Heaven, it would eventually become as miserable and destructive as this present Earth.

So because of sin, we are then condemned to the suffering of separation and the torment of everlasting misery, away from the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and from the true glory of His power for Eternity. But, there is hope:

YOUR life here on this Earth, is but a test or trial. It is a test for you to decide WHO you want to be your Lord and your God!

Are you going to be your own lord, or are you going to choose some other god, gods, or goddess to be your lord? -or- Will you choose the one True God, the Lord Jesus Christ the Creator of the heavens and the Earth, to be your Lord and your God? This in a nutshell, is the bottom-line reason for your short existence in this world; it is for you to make your choice.

Also take into consideration that in the Lord's Heaven, there will be love and affection, beauty and warmth, harmony and caring, even total peace of mind. There will not be misery, agony, torment, hatred, atrocities, nor any of the other negatives that we experience here on this Earth.

Standing before you at the end of your life is All of Eternity. There are only two possible destinations: Heaven and Hell. The choice is yours, it is solely up to you.

God will not make that choice for you. Why? Because He can’t, it is solely of your determination. The Lord has given you a freewill, to choose whatsoever god or religion you desire, in this life.

The Lord Jesus Christ wants YOU to choose Him and His righteousness as your God. Again: God will not make that decision for you. But... you must have it settled in your heart BEFORE your short existence on this earth, is over...

	"... as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment"
	- Hebrews 9:27

Just as that last verse indicates, there is not such a thing as the pagan doctrine of reincarnation; judgment follows death.

But moving on –

There is not a one of us who are good enough, or righteous enough to be allowed into God's Heaven. Because of Adam's original sin, all people are sinners from birth...

	"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one"
	- Romans 3:10

	"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"
	- Romans 3:23

Therefore we owe God - our Creator - our life for the sin we have committed...

	"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"
	- Romans 6:23

Also as I am sure you are aware, there are a multiplicity of religions out there; some even claim to be Christian and/or Biblical. But, all those non-Biblical religions: Mormon, Catholic, Jehovah Witness, Baha'i, Etc. are false. They are not actually based on the true teachings in the Word of God. All of them can be placed into one category and that category is this: they have a works based, way of getting into Heaven.

Do realize that there is not a stairway to Heaven that you have to climb, nor is there one that you could climb. There are not rising levels that you need to attain, to bring you closer to Heaven. Nor are there a series of sacraments that you must accomplish, to get to Heaven. Teachings of these sorts are all based on you earning your way into Heaven by "good works", or in other words: it is by your efforts. For if a person could attain entrance into Heaven by their own efforts: Jesus allowed himself to be tortured and crucified in vain!

PLEASE UNDERSTAND, religion cannot get you into Heaven, only a right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ can get you into Heaven. You cannot “buy” your way into God's Heaven with "good works" or money, no matter how 'noble' they may seem!

	Jesus saith, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"
	- John 14:6

The Lord Jesus Christ is the supreme God above ALL gods! It is only through Him, and His effort that you can gain Heaven. It is by faith in His effort, and in His blood that He shed on the cross at Calvary!

Here is the very unique concept to understand about the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ: of all the people that were ever crucified on a cross by the Persians, the Romans or whomever, Jesus Christ is the ONLY one, who made the choice to allow it to happen to themself – and – could at anytime during the process, have stopped that process! He had the power that at any point, He could have stopped the event, and instantaneously made it as if nothing had ever happened to him. He also had the power that at any time, He could have annihilated anyone or everyone involved, in a mere instant.

But the fact is, and the dozens of Old Testament prophecies are: that Jesus came to this Earth for that purpose...

	"In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace"
	- Ephesians 1:7

	"For by grace are ye saved (from eternal damnation) through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works..."
	- Ephesians 2:8-9

You may ask, "What is this gift of God?"

This gift that God offers you is in a sense - just as any other gift. You can choose to accept it freely (one does not work for, nor earn gifts) -or- you can reject it and not take it.

This is the (free) gift that God offers to you: Jesus Christ who was and is - God the Son - allowed Himself to be cruelly tortured, then executed on a cross at Calvary nearly 2,000 years ago; for your sins against God the Father. Jesus took the eternal sentence of your soul's damnation upon Himself, and paid it in full; for you! Therefore it is your choice, to accept that already paid for gift by faith and repent (turn from your sin and ask God Himself to forgive you) while asking Jesus Christ into your heart, to be your Lord and Savior -or- you can reject this gift, and then at your death serve your own sentence yourself - for Eternity.

REMEMBER... There is not a man or priest that can do this for you, nor can you do this through a man or priest. You must go directly to God by way of prayer to Him and Him alone, not Mary nor anyone else!

	“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all”
	– 1 Timothy 2:5-6

This same Jesus Christ is the Creator of the entire Universe. He came to Earth, being born of a virgin and lived a perfect-sinless life. Then at the end of His time here on this hell-bent Earth, Jesus took ALL of the sin of the World (mine, yours, and everyone’s) upon Himself; by allowing Himself to be tortured and sacrificed for YOU, in your place, taking your eternal punishment upon Himself.

To display to you just how much He loves you, He allowed Himself to be pummeled, mocked, beaten and lashed with a cat-o-nine tails. Then he was hung on a cross by being nailed to it with spikes, hammered through the base of His hands (wrists) and feet. He hung there for over 3 hours before He died.

TO SHOW YOU JUST HOW MUCH HE (GOD) LOVES YOU!!

This, is the free gift that God offers to you. Paid for by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ... Then 3-days later, He arose alive from the grave and from death!

	“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”
	– Romans 5: 8

	“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”
	– 2 Peter 3: 9

Now who would die for YOU, to give you life?! Let alone allowing themselves (being fully conscious of what was about to happen) to be tortured and crucified! God did! He paid your sin debt for all Eternity, so that you could live with Him - eternally in His awe-inspiring, majestic Heaven!

	"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God"
	- John 3:18

	"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved"
	- Acts 4:12

	"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God"
	- I John 5:13

Think about it long... and think about it hard...

What if you were to die this week or next week in a car wreck? Or this month or next month in a burning building, or in a hospital of a terrible accident or disease, or in some terrorist incident? You will then be in the presence of Almighty God: face to face, eyeball to eyeball… just how are you going to account for yourself?

There will be one question to decide your fate, and one question only. This is that basic question (and God already knows the answer): Did you accept -- IN YOUR HEART -- the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross, as payment for your sins, and repent (ask God to forgive you of your sins, and turn from your sins to serve God unconditionally by faith)? -OR- did you reject the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross for you?

	"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"
	- Romans 10:9

Remember, you cannot lie to God: for He knows your heart and your every thought from birth. He also has everything recorded.

Remember this also: in Hell there is no alcohol, no lust, no drugs, no party with your 'friends', nor sports or hobbies; there is only isolation, torment, and fire – Forever and ever. God does not owe you anything, but he did give you an escape; BY DYING FOR YOU!

You may exclaim, "But, I don't believe God would send people to Hell!". Well, on that point you are absolutely correct. God is only following through with YOUR decision. When you reject Jesus Christ, you reject His Heaven and everything else that God has for you. God loved you to the point of dying for you to prove it! God is not going to force you to live in His Heaven, if you choose to reject it.

But as stated earlier, this life is but a test... to try everyone, whether they want the Lord Jesus Christ as their God -OR- whether they want to continue to live in rebellion against Him.

You may then ask: "What about all these hypocrites?".

Remember this too, there are many, many phony and fake Christians. Especially, those posing or masquerading as Christian ministers, just to take money from the gullible, the distressed, or to be the ruler in their own little kingdom, etc. Some people hate God so much for whatever reason, that they claim to be a Christian and are intentionally bad examples. There are also millions today claiming to be Christian, who are attempting to get into Heaven another way, without repenting and submitting to the Lord Jesus Christ. All of these types of hypocrites are not going to Heaven anyway; they will take their places in Hell. So do not hide behind them or you will end up in the same place!

Also, (and you need to understand this) there are true Christians who become back-slidden from time to time. There are also Christians with a 'weak' faith, or following bad examples, or are young in their faith and still learning.

Now before we close, I would like for you to contemplate the complicated design of your eyes, which allow you to read this. Then, the complicated design of your brain, of your hearing, of your DNA. The complicated design of the Earth, and of this universe, of light, of electricity, of gravity, of molecules and atoms!

You know that there has to be a God! For 'Evolution' cannot think, and figure these things out. Then 'evolution' would also have to figure out how to make them all functional! … Really!

Though being a Bible-believer is not a bed of roses, we do have the luxury of looking to the future, and then on into Eternity!

The Apostle Paul stated in Romans 8:18...

	"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us"

Then in Ephesians 3:8 this same Paul mentions...

	"...the unsearchable riches of Christ"

The Lord Jesus Christ has riches beyond computation; riches beyond the dream of imagination or the eloquence of words! They are unsearchable... for there is no end to them!

If you have never placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, but have come to sense His reality and maybe even the approaching End of the Age, and you want to receive His FREE gift of Eternal Life in Heaven: You can do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you truly believe on Him as your Lord and Savior: you are spiritually Born-Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Also, you can rest assured that the coming kingdom of the Antichrist will not destroy you spiritually.
